Whispers
The man whispered, "God, speak to me" and a meadowlark sang. But, the man did not hear. So the man yelled, "God, speak to me" and the thunder rolled across the sky. But, the man did not listen. The man looked around and said, "God let me see you." And a star shined brightly. But the man did not see. And, the man shouted, "God show me a miracle." And, a life was born. But, the man did not notice. So, the man cried out in despair, "Touch me God, and let me know you are here." Whereupon, God reached down and touched the man. But, the man brushed the butterfly away And walked on. I found this to be a great reminder that God is always around us in the little and simple things that we take for granted ... Even in our electronic age. So I would like to add one more: The man cried, "God, I need your help!" And people reached out with good news and encouragement. But, the man ignored it and continued crying Don't miss out on a blessing because it isn't packaged the way that you expect.

Trials and Tribulations
Trials and tribulations.
Trials develop godly character. "...we exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance; and perseverance, proven character, and, hope; and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us... Trials and tribulations. Persevering proves our faith. "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me" Trials and tribulations come with both a purpose and a reward. "Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect result, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing." "Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial; for once he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life, which the Lord has promised to those who love Him" If I were an amputee, simply believing in this, I will live a better life. I will come to terms and accept my disability. It's when you suffer, what you do, proves your faith. You have your own free will. Having faith and persevering is what will keep me living. And in the end, if there was no God, my life here still would have been more meaningful and more full of joy (Simply because I believed). But really it was God that helped me help myself live a full life. OK, let's say I'm an amputee, I don't believe, I have no faith in anything, I'm always upset from my condition, I feel like I was cheated out of life and walk around with a chip on my shoulder... Why live?... Take the easy way out. Destroy all the good you could have had from your life (Remember you only get one)... Simply because you refused to Believe and have Faith! Trials and Tribulations, Bro' I hope you don't hate me because of my beliefs. I accept you for who you are. Last edited by JBNUSA; 13th May 2007 at 05:37. |
