Someone belonging to our Old Guard visited this place at last!
How are you doing Nickolas?
Greetings, greetings... I am glad you visited and gave your voice. I can hardly believe now that this place used to be so vibrant and interesting in the year 2002 and later! It is so silent now and I really miss people like you or Johnstruthers (Vanya) who died so suddenly. Not so long ago we lost such a valuable, appreciated member AndrewBlow. Happily, we still have Kathy but I am somewhat uneasy about her because she is so silent now I do hope the weather is nice near you. Do you stay in Japan or in Canada now? Have a good luck and keep close to us. Regards Zbigniew Although not a Ukrainian, I love borshch as well By the way: do you know a kind of food (noodles with the filling) made of drained raw potatoes mixed with the pre-cooked ones and called PYZY in Poland? |

Polish noodles? Sounds like a Chinese hot dog. But if it's Polish, it must be good! I'll have to try it someday - in Poland. Thanks for the info. About Made in Ukraine borsch..., I hope Hetman Yushchenko makes a National Borsch Holiday: Borsch for everyone !!!About Canada and Japan, Life never seems planned does it? We may try but life if LIFE! Seems like I'm developing a Kozak lifestyle - and it wasn't planned I've travelled so much by air I'm growing wings.Briefly about Canada.... It's a very sad State, my observation is bureaucratic socialism is extreme in almost all cities and consequently eroding the sense of right and wrong in Canadian communities... For example, it's against the law to use cook stoves that burn wood when there is MUCH FREE DEAD WOOD to burn this winter from the pine beetle infestation (GOV claims it's for health while at the same time GOV is expanding airports bringing in MORE air pollution while at the same time people have less money to pay their heating bills....); I've experienced Canadians complaining I'm hanging my laundry outside to dry - my ORANGE underwear doesn't look that bad ; I've seen mostly women working - and arrogant - in City governments - I saw very few men - a small minority in a completely feminist environment and the men didn't look happy . Most of the women I saw did indoor and outdoor work - mostly talking and happy and FAT . I can understand a gender-equality program - and disagree with it - but the end result of this policy in Canada is way off balance...; I've seen MORE homeless men living outside, in parks and on the streets; I've seen more single mothers looking well to do; I've seen MORE drugs - everywhere, in Canada, big cities and small cities; I've seen Church membership getting smaller and older; I've heard and read a 80 year man in a Canadian hospital - in bed -get tasered by two young male RCMP Officers for getting angry at a nurse with a plastic butter knife; I've seen almost all my friends become drug users (marijuana&cocain) with broken families in the mix.... Again I say, this was my observation. There is more to report but it's just so VERY SAD in Canada these days ~ 2008 ~ ... In less than 20 years, Canada has changed. It's not the same anymore. The Japanese are doing better. Perhaps from their Bushido mindset and great Samurai culture but socialism is chipping away at their morality too...it has its share of problems as well... But private property is still private property in Japan. Renting or owning a home, I can hang my orange underwear outside without any complaints . Anyway, to make a long story short, I moved to Canada this year - to finally move home - But I was shocked where society is going - in the toilet - so I've moved back to Japan. Period. My decision has nothing to do with the world economy and everything to do with a healthier lifestyle. When the last and best generation passes on in Canada (Andrew's generation), I really see dark clouds ahead for Canadian society... I'm very sad to hear about Andrew too. But his spirit lives on: 'The world's greatest act of propulsion is a pat on the back' Cheers Andrew !!! The Lord has conquered death so Andrew is in good hands. And earthly life goes on. So how are you doing dear Zbyszek? The weather in Japan is beautiful in November. There are many colors in the trees. It's sunny and warm in the day. Cold at night with rain in between. The air is fresh with crisps of smokie leaf in the wind. By the way Mr. Z, you don't have to be a Ukrainian to be a fellow Kozak .I'm 1/2 Maltese on the French side .Take care my friend.

Queen's new 'dialogue' monitors
University hires students to facilitate discussions on social justice Joseph Brean,š National Postš Published:šWednesday, November 19, 2008 "Queen's University in Kingston, Ont., has hired six students whose jobs as "dialogue facilitators" will involve intervening in conversations among students in dining halls and common rooms to encourage discussion of such social justice issues as race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, ability and social class." "...They're not disciplinarians. They're called facilitators for a reason," he said, adding that such a program is of particular value now that so much communication by young people happens over the Internet. "It's not trying to stifle something. It's trying to foster something," he said. "We're not trying to be parental..." Queen's new 'dialogue' monitors And this: National Post editorial board: The Moon report gets it right Posted: November 24, 2008, 5:15 PM by Kelly McParland "...A University of Windsor law professor, to conduct an impartial review of the commission’s hate speech powers. He had occasionally in the past expressed what might be described as a collectivist view of freedom of expression — one that appeared to put the desire to protect minorities from insult ahead of the individual’s right to speak his or her mind boldly. Before his selection, Prof. Moon had written that speech has a “social character,” with great “potential for harm.” If left unchecked, “it can cause fear, it can harass and it can undermine self-esteem.” "...Limiting anyone’s free speech should be a last-resort measure in a democracy. Since human rights commissions permit hearsay to be admitted as testimony and do no guarantee defendants a right to face their accusers or challenge evidence presented against them, they afford insufficient protection of defendants’ rights to justify a punishment as drastic as the loss of free speech..." National Post National Post editorial board: The Moon report gets it right - Full Comment It seems like those ass ****ing commie KGB ******* bastards in Canada are making Canada look more like the old, and properly said, all are equal USSR. Or else... By the way, Canadian Universities are following American socialist educators. Including the elementary school system where American 'educators' give boys Ritalin pills to make them more docile like girls...: The War Against Boys "...The motto used to be: "Boys will be boys." Today, the motto seems to be: "Boys will be medicated." Of nearly 20 million prescriptions written last year for drugs to treat "attention deficit hyperactivity disorder," most were for children and most of those children were boys. This is part of a growing tendency to treat boyhood as a pathological condition that requires a new three R's -- repression, re-education and Ritalin...." "...Some of this is being pushed by propaganda from radical feminists who want boys to be like girls. Their dogmas declare that the behavior usually seen in boys is a result of society's indoctrinating them with a male role stereotype. The answer? "We need to raise boys like we raise girls," according to Gloria Steinem. Gloria Allred is more specific, "we need to socialize boys at an earlier age, perhaps to be playing with dolls." Some schools have followed such advice, even to the point of encouraging boys to wear dresses..." "...Despite the radical feminist dogma that sex differences are created by society, and that maleness in particular needs to be changed by society, a growing body of scientific evidence shows that boys and girls differ from day one, beginning in the womb, before society has had anything to do with them. The radical feminist response to such evidence? They say such research should be banned! Even without such bans, their mindless dogmas prevail over scientific evidence and pervade the education establishment..." "...Meanwhile, there are drug companies making well over a hundred million dollars a year each by selling drugs for "attention deficit hyperactivity disorder..." The War Against Boys by Thomas Sowell -- Capitalism Magazine by Thomas Sowell š(Octoberš21,š2001) Perhaps there is more FREE SPEECH in Ukraine these days. Doesn't anyone read George Orwell's 1984 anymore ??? George Orwell : 1984 Mother ****ers !!! Take care all .Sincerely, Nickolas.
