International Comparative Analysis Institute


International Comparative Analysis Institute - a non-governmental non-profit organization, founded in 1998. It exercises analysis of political and economic processes, instititutions and developments in Ukraine and abroad.
The Institute's experts study and summarize the international experience in the field of economics, law, public administration, local government and facilitates the embodiment of this experience in Ukrainian legislation through preparing the amendments to laws, draft laws, and analytical materials.
In particular, the Institute's experts exercise the analysis and preparation of legislative acts in these spheres:
 the development of civil society and local government institutions;
 mechanisms of human rights protection;
 reform of public administration system, optimization of state organs'efficiency;
 development of market reforms, privatization, restructuring of indusrty;
 taxation policy and administration.
The Institute's experts provide the analysis of problems in these spheres for the Parliament deputies, factions and groups.
They also provide information and analytical support, especially on budgetary issues, for local government institutions, mass media and local branches of parties and non-governmental organizations.
In the mentioned spheres, the Institute proposes the following services:
 overview of acting Ukrainian legislation;
 analysis of the legislation in sphere, determined by a customer;
 overview of draft laws presented to the Parliament:
a) their content-analysis;
b) evaluation of their confirmity with the Ukrainian Constitution and laws;
c) prognosis of possible aftereffects of their adoption and implementation;
d) determination of groups and social forces interested in their adoption;
e) preparation of the amendments to the drafts and laws, employing the international experience in their sphere.
 analysis of contemporary nation-wide and international social and political developments, evaluation of possible effect of socail and political situation on the regional life;
 publishing the results of research in mentioned spheres.
The Institute is ready to publish scientific articles in the "Person and Politics" socio-humanitarian magazine, that was recognized as a scientific issue in Political Science by State Attestation Committe.
The Institute actively cooperates with other non-government organizations of Ukraine, Russia, Byelorussia, Poland etc. (Committee of Voters of Ukraine, Center of Ethnonational studies "New Paradigm", Joint press-center "Elections-99", Byelorussian association of young politicians, EastWest Institute Kyiv Center, Partners Polska and others), mass media (Day, Pidtext, Tocka Zoru newspapers, Radio Liberty, National Radio etc.), academic institutions (State and Law Institute of V.Koretsky, Industrial Economy Institute of National Academy of Sciences, Institute of State and Law of Russian Academy of Sciences and others).
