Some journalists are saying that Putin is interested in protecting the interests of the Russian minority in Ukraine. What does this mean?

That's a scary sh!t man. Very scary, i think. Putin is a good man, but he is only good for Russia. For us he is an enemy. He is playing with words, but those words can mean many things. He could establish a fund for helping russians in Ukraine, he could want to invade Ukraine in order to "protect Russians" there. I think no good is gonna come out of his head for Ukraine.

So to answer your question, John, I say: i think that means that Putin is gonna push Kuchma around, but I don't know what exactly he(Putin) needs.

Very astute. And "pushing Kuchma around" can mean many things, too. I wonder what signals Putin will be giving to Ukraine regarding what he wants. I share your concern that this is not good for Ukraine.

That's mean that there is gonna be more stuff in Russian on TV and that Russian people will get more support, but what does he consider Russian? Russian speaking public or Moscow accent public, or what?

This could be a sticky wicked. Minorities are not always treated fairly. Just check out
the treatment of the Hungarian Minority in Rumania. I would hope that Ukraine would act civilized towards all of it's people. I am sure that they will, will they?
