We touched on this subject in some of the topics, but I don't think I have a handle on anything...

Why does Chechnia want independance and are these reasons acceptable???

I want to know?

1. I think that terrorists want independence so they and their friends can make a country for terrorists that can come there from all over the world, but civilians... I do not know, I do not think they want independence.

2.I don't know if you want to know or not why are you asking us this?

I still don't get it Stas.

I don't suppose there aren't too many Chechens sitting behind a computer with the internet going right now...

Your right Stas, obviously it is the rebels that are dictating the situation and no doubt they feel like they are backed into a corner and must fight.

I hear alot about the terrorist and mafia in that country and I hear them being blamed for alot, but take them out of the equation and the problems are still there.

I guess I looking for the Chechnia side of the story...

Perhaps the direction is more Muslim oriented - are they backed by their neighbouring countries?
