Hello,

I find Austria to be in an interesting situationa and one that reflects my opinions of an earlier time.
Can the European Union shove laws down other countries throats? Can they do this also without trial or negotiation as they have threatened to?
This seems odd to me and takes away a countries soveignty. As the people of Austria must decide what is best inside there borders by a somewhat democratic process.
Why doe EU have the right to tell voters how to vote? Why does EU think it is better equipped to decide who the people elector even approve who gets elected.
The EU is a big fat joke and will learn that most countries will not tolerate there bully tactics and especially large countries who dont fear there words of threat.

Austrians are pretty unhappy about having their sovereignty compromised. Equalliy I can see how Europe might feel about seeing their free world threatened by nazi undertones. The worst the EU can do is kick them out of their club.

I don't think it is so bad, but the current situation doesn't warrent such action.

It sounds like the EU is becoming like the USA and the individual states must yeild to the Federal Government. I Think Austria is being tested now. And I wish Austria well and free.

Greetings USA-REBEL,
South Carolina? Georgia? Alabama? Could it be
Mississippi? Go ahead and fly your rebel flag
but try to stay out of something as complicated as international politics.

Amen to that. Fourteen countries decided that this hate-spewing neo-nazi almost at the helm of the country that gave us Hitler is a comment on the country itself. He had to sign a packet of documents disclaiming nazi intent, which means he is now adequately hindered from doing the worst of the things he imagines would go with national power. Otherwise, you can't be sure who would be the next to get numbers tattooed under their arms. Don't give any of that crap about "democratically elected." These thugs wouldn't hesitate to use their new power base to demolish democratic rights, and it is part of their program. The EU members, all of them, are protecting their own peoples' safety by making sure this guy Haider is constrained.

Now in Spain the feeling is: "It is awful all which ocure in Austria". But they havent the same rate of inmigrants. When we became here more than the actual less than 1%, I am sure they will think: "It is necessary to do something", and perhaps will vote by another Franco.

Hello,

Seems to me if Austria is not attacking or making threats to harm other countries they can be free to decide there government.
Bad will towards a race or ethnic group is not good in my opinion but the rights of a majority in any state that is free must have the right to there own law making process.
Who is to judge the future of the people there in Austria? Not I.
