Almost all democratic countries in the world
have an open language policy - for all languages. But what is interesting is the fact most of these countries use English as their official or unofficial second language. India, Pakistan, most African counties, most central American countries, Philippines, Indonesia, Japan ... this list is very long. It's mostly for one reason. International trade. |

Drij,
I agree. It's important for each nation to have its own national language. For many decades the communists did much damage, from Moscow, to the Ukrainian language and people. Ukraine needs to strengthen its Ukrainian heritage and national voice with vigor. This will take time and patience. The Ukrainian spirit, thanks to Orange and others, is healthy and very alive now. Things will move faster than before. Again, it's good to remember and practice the language of trade. This forum is a nice example. |
