Is Russia gonna be able to defeat the 5000 or so Chechnyans or is this gonna be a repeat of the last adventure there?
Seems to me that Russia has the 100,000 men to do the job but am wondering what's the hold-up?
Is there a group of people who will fight to the death there and is that the real problem?
MADRUSSIAN should have the answers I'm guessing???

You'll see. one day the soldiers will say "no". Not that they would feel that this war is bad but simply beacause they are not paid ,or paid very little!

Beata,

Do you think that any of the conscripts believe in the just and rightiouse duty before them is a way of maintaining safety for there peoples?
I understand your point about money and all but if your dead as so many are at this point money wont do too much for you.
Seems to me the Russian military needs to feed the soldiers first and then try to work on the money situation.
Ya know it's a shame that terrorists do things as they do but governments like Russia should destroy the enemy at all costs otherwise they will be subject to the further growth of these fundamental groups who in effect seek change all persons lifestyles.

What ya think?

Ayman, the situation isnt the same. In the USA black and white americans become more or less 200 years ago. All of them. But Chechnia exist before Russians come 200 years ago. Why Chechnia is Russian land?

In Canada Quebec voted for independance in a refferendum and it all went by peacefully.

On the other hand Rusdsia decides that they want something and they go ahead and take it.

International action would have been taken here along time ago, except Russia managed to pick it's timing and even found an excuse.
