Russia should not interfere in Ukrainian internal political processes

RBC, 09.03.2004, Moscow 12:12:01.Russia should not interfere in the political situation in Ukraine, Russian Ambassador to Ukraine Viktor Chernomyrdin declared at a round table meeting in Moscow. According to him, constitutional reforms are currently unfolding in Ukraine and are aimed at turning this presidential republic into a parliamentary and presidential republic. Russia should not interfere in these processes, the Ambassador stressed. Speaking about the Ukrainian presidential elections scheduled for this fall he pointed out that Russian-Ukrainian relations should improve whoever became the President of Ukraine.
