Where to? It's rather a question for the Ukraine now. It's still in the middle way between the huge economic space dominated by Russia and the/EU. Ukrainian politicians seeking popularity tend to play either this or that card, actu*ally sacrificing the inner stability and the wealth of their own people.
Meanwhile Mr. Yushchenko for instance suggested at the recent Congress of the European People's Party to declare 2004 the year of the support of the Ukrainian democracy. Does this mean the Ukrainian politicians are helpless in making order inside their homelands? If so, how can we get such an unstable country with the fragile democracy into the EU. It would be madness. Leave aside economic criteria it must meet to join. The state of things here is much less inspiring. Well I respect the opinion of the Germany ambassador to Ukraine Dietmar Schtuderman. After the October violence in Donetsk with the Nazi symbols used he said the following, 'All civilized countries must, first of all, care to secure civil rights'. I think Ukraine is yet to go a long way to reach this. I am sure the EU membership is not in the vicinity yet for the Ukraine. |

It's relevant.
It's relevant. Ukraine hasn't matured to the EU membership like many other post-Soviet countries. Haste makes waste. It's just the case here. It would be a waste mainly on our side, the side of old EU members. Those newcomers are going to be not only a heavy economic burden for us, but political as well. Nazi symbols in the Ukraine. They say in Latvia the Nazi gatherings are not a rare oc*currence too. It really beats everything I could imagine! Oh, no. Those Nazi ele*ments could make the Nazi fire in the heart of Europe again. In the Ukraine I am sure they should first make it out themselves in the inner political affairs. Of course it will take time... Maybe partnership with Russia will fill the economic void during the period. The economy of the Ukraine has long been fitted into the Rus*sian one. It makes sense. One today is worth two tomorrows.

Uschenko is ready to transgress in order to become a president
Uschenko is ready to transgress in order to become a president. This time he steps over state religion and got the money from Vatican as a dole. He will definitely use the money for the president election campaign. It is reasonable that Vatican demanded to strenghen Rome Catholic Church positions in the Ukraine. If Uschenko becomes a president its zone of influence in Ukraine will be widened greatly. I can’t know which methods Uschenko will use to realize it. It seems to me he will hand over to the Catholics some lands, buildings and temples that belong to Russian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchy. In such a case he will spoil trucks with Russia and offend all orthodox Ukrainians.

I think many Ukrainians noticed that economical situation in Ukraine stabilized greatly as a result of Yanukovich’s activity. I don’t know how the local people felt it but there are evident improvements in the Ukraine’s economy. But the most criticized in opposition black PR issue is economy. The stream of criticism falls on the prime minister mainly. The most active figure in the process is Yuschenko who tries to convince society of the necessity to accelerate economic reforms. But deeper insight into the problem makes visible the cost of it. It would mean the expanded presence of the foreign companies on the national market. It can also explain the fact why Europe is so keen on helping Yuschenko. But what will happen to local producers is also clear. They will be forced out with Western goods and raw stuff.

No way. "ski" is the "nom de plume" of "Hebrew" or "WeRbeH" who, after being turfed out of 'IsRaEL", by Arabs who, having been screwed, for hundreds of years, by packs of Anglo-Saxons, rebelled and disposed of them.
This disease emigrated, in organised 'packs of thugs", and established itself round the Sea of AzOff. Slowly, but surely, this disease, was forced, by weight of numbers, from most of "the" Ukrainian lands, to Poland, and parts of Western Ukraine. I have never, in my entire life, seen a ......ski, who was a Ukrainian. PS: (ski = ko) |
