Len, I meant that 'liberalism' shares the same ideological underpinnings as Marxism.

" We're from the government, we're here to help you."

Guess I read too much Ann Rand as a teen. Dont believe in big government. Corrupts itself and corrutps the human spirit. I beleive in individuals.

Looks like Senator Kerry is going to give President Bush one helluva run-for-the-money.

You might get more of your liberalism. You might notice also, it might be " same as it ever was".

Freedom,

More liberalism. Lets hope so. When I read Marx it seemed to me that if one bears in mind the world politic at the time he wrote, he was actually talking about the ideal democracy.
We do not live in a democracy we live in a Republic, England is a Parliamentary Democracy, they are not the same as a Democracy.

Everyone believes in less government but then the ballance becomes "Anarchy". Unfortunately understanding where that balance is has proved to be imposible to define.

I'm still looking for the odd balls to drop out and produce a good one on one with Kerry/Edwards.

Len,

A few weeks ago some newspaper ran a poll where Kerry is ahead of GW (50 to 46 I believe). Edwards will give Kerry strong support in the south. One problem with the Democratic primary is that the candidates are hammering each other and burning through cash in the process.

Ulysses,

The polls right now dont mean much. November is a long way off and Dubya has not started fighting back yet.

As for the primaries I'm not sure that the in fighting is doing any harm. They are perfecting their message and as far as money goes, once we have a candidate lots of money will appear you can be sure of that.

Will Edwards help Kerry carry the south. If he is on the ticket maybe he will. If not, his help will be of little consequence.

The Dubya administration is coming out with all the crap now to clear the field for the end of the year so they cannot so easily be attacked during the election season. Come august you will be surprised how many successes these fools will claim. The muddier they make it the better for them. I'm not convinced that Kerry is strong enough to carry the day. For me, Dubya can stay as long as he gets rid of half a dozen of his side kicks. He's not bright enough to be dangerous, its his camp followers that trouble me.
