Kaliningrad, Russia, Poland, Lithuania, Ukraine and Belarus
Hey,
Your comments make a good point however, we all must realise that no mater what we think Russia will remain a great threat to European Stability. Kaliningrad we forever remain Russian because it gives Russia a tactiacl adavantage in the Baltic Sea, I mean it whole European Naval force is practically staioned there. Its Black sea ports serve little with the exception of commerce traffic. Russia is not all bad, it did some horrible things to Eastern European nations in the past but under the rule of President Putin it will pose a threat, due to his plans of rebuilding the Russian Empire. It would take a hardline reformist to change Russia and we wont be seeing one of thoes in the Kremlin soon!!!
Switching to the Ukraine, Lithuania, Poland and Belarus, the deals have been made the borders established and the treaties signed. There is no changing that> However out of all the countries mentioned only Poland and Lithuania suffered the most, whole polish cities were lost to the USSR, over 300,000 sq km of land gone, lithuania although larger then prior to 1945 was under soviet occupation for over 40 years, whilst countries like Uklraine and Belarus sprang into existance without any hardship or war they simply declared independance. And i know your probably gonna say crap that they to did suffer, however im telling you thats crap. Ukraine started the war which seperated it from Poland (Rzeczposploita) it also asked for Russian assitance, and Belarus had not much of a fight for independence i dont recall any mager events that would support Belarussian struggles for independance, even now that thier free thier trying to rejoin Russia under the leadership of Lukashenko.
Anyways thats all i wanted to say, im new here and i thought id make my self known. Cya
