Read the Balfour declaration again. It is contained in the minutes of a speach he made to a packed house of parliament and contains the statements :

"within the limits of its mandates" (UN)

"bearing in mind the limits of the influence this nation has on that international body" (UN)

Those statements do mean something !!!

its promissing what you dont own. ...like turk take the power and promise london to the french.
just ask your self this qustion...how come un couldnt solve this problem. ...they even couldnt send observers to jeneen refugee camp to invstegate in the last masscares happiend there......what ashame ...cannot you see or feel...that there is or was and still no justice or fair towrads the palestanine.
for me its clear.
they will invade iraq...they will kill sadam huseen...some planns to devide iraq to three states....this programm includs transfer the palestanine from palestine..to iraq...this is an old dream for israel. just looking for the right time.
they will announce there state as kingdom ...later on and waiting for there jesus . they believe in that as you see this text....
whats funny chirsctan believs that jesus will return...and muslim as well.

Eternity, now we make progress.

The Balfour declaration was not made when he was the head of the British government. In fact it was made in 1917, a full twelve years after he was prime minister. At the time he was addressing his remarks to the zionist movement, and pledged his help in allowing the jews to move to isreal. So yes Britain does carry some blame.

I understand that it is from the mosque atop the mount in Jerusalem that it is believed that mohammed ascended to sit with allah. It is also know that the mosque there was build on top of the remains of a jewish temple. One cannot ignore the fact that the jewish faith was practiced more than 1700 years before muhammed was born.

We are now left with a situation where members of both sects have a clear right to claim Jeruslalem as their capital. Whatever the influence from other nations, both claims must be recognized before any progress can be made.

Whatever you think might happen in the gulf with Iraq, as there is Syria and Jordan between Iraq and Palistine it is unlikely that events in Iraq will effect the Palistinian claim or any settlement with Isreal.

I ask that you read our other thread again and consider the points I made about the other arabs states effect on the formation of Palistine.

Len.
