Last week a "documentary" film was shown on Ukrainian TV called "PR," about the murder of Gongadze and the ensuing "cassette scandal." The film was made by American journalists, but it seems to present the whole affair as a vast international conspiracy, orchestrated by the US gov't through Freedom House and George Soros, to engineer the replacement of Kuchma by Yushchenko. Overall Kuchma is portrayed favorably, and Yushchenko and his party rather negatively.

Some articles in the current edition of the on-line newspaper Ukrainska Pravda (which Gondadze helped to found) http://www.pravda.com.ua/ point out some of the inconsistencies in the film, the way it was made, and the timing (as it was released so close to the upcoming Parliamentary elections).
