Status Law

Hi everbody,
I am new on this forum. I was searching for an English speaking Ukrainian forum for a looooooooooong time. I am glad I could finally find it.
I am a Hungarian from Transcarpathia/Zakarpatska Oblast. I am in Canada this year as an exchange student.
So basically what I would like to discuss here is the issue of the Hungarian Status Law. I would like to read your opinions. The Ukrainian ambassador in Budapest didn't take a stand yet, saying that he is waiting for the final form of the Law and for other countries' responses.
If you are interested in my next post I can write down the conception of the Status Law and its connections to the Ukraine. Only if you are interested. . .

Well thanks for the worm welcome But I am not going to be oversensitive.
Here we go. Sorry Irena, but I can't do it in two words, but I'll do my best to be as short as possible. And sorry Irinka, I don't know what "other way" I should have asked. I did say that there are connections to the Ukraine and I thought it may interest people who live in the Ukraine.
So, the Status Law is . . . a Law, that gives identifications and different kind of preferences on the territory of the Magyar Republic to Hungarians who live as minorities in the neighbouring countries. That involves Hungarians who live in the Ukraine ( to be specific in Transcarpathia/Zakarpatska Oblast) and who are Ukrainian citizens, of course. I thought that maybe Ukrainians would have an opinion it. Was I wrong? Do you like the idea or you don't care or maybe you dislike it or you just don't have enough information to decide? (I can write you a page on it if you would like more info.
