Ukraine = Belarus?

Well, I see Yanukovich doesn’t like the appeared recently comparisons between him personally and the Lukashenko’s regime in Belarus – as well as our president doesn’t welcome all the recently drawn parallels between the same Belarus and Ukraine. But let us take it as it is... there’re ‘parallels’ indeed... not one, not two and even not three or four... The latest ‘parallel’ of alike came right recently from Europe, where they’ve decided to postpone our president’s visit to Brussels at the background of politically motivated sentence for our former PM. The same things happen in neighboring Belarus daily – there practically every dissenting civilian has personally got acquainted with the country’s prison conditions. Yanukivich is directly following the Lukashenko’s steps – now he still stays in shadow, but that is already enough for me to put an equals sign between our two countries. Meet it objectively...

Although I never visited Belarus, if I am to believe what I see and hear about that regime, I must conclude that although President Yanukovich's regime are moving steadily towards a dictatorial state, it has far to go before it gains parity with that abhorrent regime in Minsk

But, If Julia actually commited the crimes that she's been found guilty of and since her administration would turn a blind eye to it... Wouldn't the next administration try to make it known that dishonest practices won't be tolerated?
