Officials in Brussels demonstrate evident lack of brain...

Officials in Brussels demonstrate evident lack of brain imho. The EU can’t reach out to all the needed EU old-timers. Look how it’s absolutely hard in Greece where people unable to pacify themselves with worsening life are near to revolution or sort of it.
Still EU officials saw it possible to do a great favour to Ukraine right now and reach the bilateral agreement on free trade zone between EU and Ukraine till the end of the current year.
Free mutually beneficial trade is possible between equals only, which is no case with Ukraine now. She is not up to the necessary standards, both politically and economically. You can hardly list Ukraine to true democracies due to wild corruption and subduing of political opposition there. Economically, it’s even worse. The Ukrainian goods can’t par EU ones! I’m absolutely sure that current Ukraine isn’t worth the attention and care of Brussels. Few European can approve of this charity.

What can you expect from career politicians.

Elsa, I don't know much about this EU/ Ukraine trade agreement but I'm assuming that the EU wants to keep Ukraine on their side rather than to see Ukraine strongly reunite with the Russian/Belarus/ Kazakhstan customs union.
I strongly believe that we are in a period of international history when all the world's leading political forces are acting at the behest of their sponsors, oligarchy associates and own self interests, with the betterment of their electorate who voted them into office being out of sight.
