There was an interesting programme on BBC Newsnight recently.
It questioned the boarding off of Indipendence square in Kiev.
It is thought that this has been put there to prevent demonstraters gathering.

programme can be watched here;

I saw the programme on monday.Victor Yanukovych said he didn't know anything about the fence that has gone up around Independance Square. He said " I know nothing about a fence around the square, there are no restrictions, you can protest where you want" What a liar he is. He is the President and he doesn't know what is going on aroun him?
What would happen if the people took the fence down so they could protest in the square?
Poor old Victor did look very uncomfortable being inerviewed by the BBC. I wonder if he will give them another interview? What about Petro Poroshenko, in the programme he said the rich in Ukraine are not paying their taxes. It was said that he Petro P is one of the richest men in the country, is he paying his taxes?

Yes I noticed that too.
The BBC reporter also said they was filming there for a week and in that time saw no workers or anything being done.

Poroshenko has supposedly lots of influence in Ukraine Politics.The former president is Godfather to his daughters.
Petro Poroshenko - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Still has some way to go to catch Pinchuk too, or the owner of Mittel Steel.

Well I have sent email to British Embassy in Kiev asking if they can explain why tourists are being denied access.
I have also sent the same to Ukraine Embassy in London.
One of the biggest critics of Human rights abuse in Ukraine is Germany's Angela Merkel-I have also sent an email to her asking if the German Government are aware.
Because as I see it,this is an abuse of rights to the Ukraine people,and also a denial to tourists who visit from all over the world to see this historical area.
I will report back on any response.

This has just happened? I was there a month ago and the square was wide open with nothing for fences.. Heck there wasn't fences during the "Orange Revolution" either.
