Michael.

As a Polish citizen, why in the world would you think this to be hilarious?

This ruckus was initiated by pro-Yanukovich party members against the filibustering pro-Tymoshenko supporters.

You do understand that it is in the interest of Poland that Ukraine remains a fully democratic state?

THis fight was orchestrated from outside of the Parliament - vice Prime Ministers arrived there specially to give out commands for attack.
Criminal authority - Artem - Prosecutor General's son - was among the fighters...

Because a parliament is not a place usually associated with brawling, because it's so unappropriate?

It's kind of in the interest of Poland, but it's not very important. And the democratic voice of pro-Russian citizens of Ukraine can make it go in directions contrary to our interests.

What democratic tradition? What speeches? What parlimentary procedres? They are totally powerless and helpless in this so-called parliament. All decisions are adopted by President's administration.

Michael....insn't it wonderful to live in country where democratic processes are respected. The frustration level of Ukr opposition members runs very , very high. How do they deal with an authoritarian like Yanukalin , who constantly lies (about the freedom of media, press, and people) and 'rules' with no regard for democratic parliamentarian process.???

I think you may have forgot, or do not remember the frustration level Lech Walensa had , when he took Poland down the democratic road,,,,to a working democracy.
Times were no different in Poland at that time.

Respectfully,,,,,,again your memory is short of the "Russian Bear".....and how it operated.

I do not think if you had the governance of Putin and his 'total authoritarinan' dictatorship rule at your doorstep, ie in Ukraine; you would not feel so complacent and flipant as to say,,,,,,'kind of...but not very important...'

Europe did not abandon Germany after WW2,,but you are ready to abandon Ukraine, ,,now at a time when it needs western support, against the Moscow mafia,,,who rule it now.

Ukraine's futur is most definitely important to Poland,,,,,,and never forget that.

BLESS UKRAINE!!!!

Am I mad at Yanukovych and his band of crooks......you bet your sweet ass,, I am

Kathy,

Filibuster was the wrong word to use. Thank you for pointing that out.

Obstructionism would have been a better term to use.

I am currently reading "Bloodlands" and your response reminds me of the Interwar Polish govt, whose leadership thought exactly the same thing when Stalin was executing Poles during his Polish Operation in Eastern Ukraine.
