Yes but its not a confabulation. Obama has managed to make the situation worse by putting ahead his agenda of Healthcare reform before any other problems. By the turnout in the midterm elections if Obama doesnt do something soon he will be a one term president.

Also the Tea Party shouldn't be combined with the Republican Party they share some same beliefs, but unlike the Republicans the tea party wants to reduce government with entitlement programs, defense, and domestic discretionary programs.

I think entitlement programs should be cut since it accounts for almost half of federal expenditures but not defense.

True but she was still backed by the Russians and Russian support always comes with a price.

Not really. The only thing people knew about Obama was that he was a liberal. Thats about it. He didn't even have a decent voting record in the Senate (parliament). What he was done, was not what Republicans were saying, what he has done is much worse than what people expected, in my opinion at least. Tymoshenko on the other hand, kinda predictable.

The thing is, they want to make Russian a state language.....official Russian

but they don't speak "Russian" in Ukraine, but surzhyk

To make Muscovite Russian an official language because a lot of people speak in a Russo-Ukrainian slang/dialect is just stupid

that is only spoken in the rural areas. In large cities such as Donetsk, Kharkiv, luhansk, and Crimea they speak standard Russian. Donetsk is where the President is from. This language must not be it most not be mutually intelligible with Ukrainian even though its a dialect of Ukrainian.

substitute Russian words and phrases because they do not have language background in Ukrainian.
For instance in Poland. There is a dialect of Polish called the Podhale dialect which is a mixture of Polish and slovak but is not mutually intelligible with standard Polish.

The dialect of Ukrainian that I know has been heavily influenced with Polish. For instance yak sya mate? is how I say how are you instead of yak spravy.

Also dobre rano instead of dobroho ranku. Since I don't know standard ukrainian I have trouble when some of the words because of my dialect is a mixture between Polish and Ukrainian.

There must be enough russian words to make it associated with Russian.

as one of my professors said, the language they speak is like a New Jersey dialect to English speakers

in fact, on the Ukrainian version of the Sopranos, they speak in Surzhyk

I find when I'm on Ukrainian forums or sites, it will usually be in Russian but some words or parts will be in Ukrainian; on forum posts some are pure russian, some are pure ukrainian

all seems to be mutually intelligible among users
