.Some donate many dollars, but are low on GNI percent
Some interesting observations can be made about the amount of aid. For example:

•USA’s aid, in terms of percentage of their GNP has almost always been lower than any other industrialized nation in the world, though paradoxically since 2000, their dollar amount has been the highest.
•Between 1992 and 2000, Japan had been the largest donor of aid, in terms of raw dollars. From 2001 the United States claimed that position, a year that also saw Japan’s amount of aid drop by nearly 4 billion dollars.
.ODA is basically aid from the governments of the wealthy nations, but doesn’t include private contributions or private capital flows and investments. The main objective of ODA is to promote development. It is therefore a kind of measure on the priorities that governments themselves put on such matters.

So after a quick search on this issue it seems that GG's rant is entirely baseless to me.

My friend, when we were posting on Human Rights in Ukraine you were unhappy and complained.
I quote you: "Why is the terrible post about human rights in Ukraine still up? It is an insult to Ukrainian people and also the readers of this forum."

I'm sure that if you start a thread on a Ukrainian politics or other subject we will be happy to follow it.

Well define intolerant? I don't really recall a time that someone was intolerant to criticism.

Nobody is rejecting what you have to say. Personally, I just don't see any justification for some of your comments, just the fact that you are making them. The USA, in general, does not criticize other nations. In fact, its probably the most excepting nation. Heck, I'm sitting here making comments to you, thinking of myself as an American, and people here (in the USA) have no problem accepting me as one.

Yet, with all this, everyone else wants to throw shots at it. I think you have proven to be just like everyone else, ready to throw shots at the USA. You started this topic, and have done nothing but criticize its participants. I think I'll call you selfish, given that you only care about your own views and reject everyone else's. Rejecting an entire nation because it does not believe what you believe in.

Not to mention that he drops the ball when it is returned to his court by ignoring question posed.

Oh great. It seems like we have had this conversation multiple times on this forum whether its about American Healthcare system or Americans in general.

Hannia is right. Americans pay for a socialized medical program called Medicare and Medicaid. So if a low income person gets sick they can go to the ER and recieve medical treatment. They can also go to a medicare provider. I think Medicare and Medicaid providers is chosen by the government. Also there is a huge American population of veterans. Whether they are homeless or high income or anywhere in between they qualify for medical care and prescription medications at little to no cost.

The only thing that is good about Obamacare that i have seen is that coverage for younger adults has been raised under their parents insurance plan.
