US Senate Committee Hearing on Ukraine

For those of you that are US citizens and declare a genuine interest in Ukraine, I attach the URL of a video showing the recent US Senate Committee Hearing on Ukraine. The first hour consists of speech reading by invited delegates, but the last part consists of questions and answers. Finally there is a presentation by Eugenia Tymoshenko, the daughter of Julia Tymoshenko which is obviously more personal.

How many of you so called "Ukrainians" will have the stamina to see the entire video, not so many I think!

I am sorry to dissappoint you,,,,,but I did listen to the whole tape,,,,then re-listned to some portions.

Thank you for posting this senat link.

To sum up,,,

To those of us that 'do ' stay in tune with Ukraine and its politics...there is nothing new here,,,,,we did not already know. The rampant corruption, the BSF fiasco, the lack of rule of law and democracy, the pervasive poverty that exits among the population,,,,,,etc ,,,etc,,,,,,

But I am glad that these hearings were done in the US,,,,and that hopefully more people become more aware of the authoritarian and corrupt regeime that currently 'rules' Ukraine.

But...in order for meaningful change to occur in Ukraine,,,,,it is the responsibiltiy of the people , the citizens to effect change.
What are the options?

Dialogue or the voters box?

Both these methods are a puff of smoke in a windstorm ! Yanuk is not prepared to cede one thing!

What is left? Dissent.....yes.....

Revolution ? ...peaceful or bloody?

Sadly.......this is our only option.

BLESS UKRAINE!!!

.

Voting, is that the answer?

As the most recent voting in Ukraine was said to have "irregularities" is that now a reliable option for the Ukraininan electorate to bring about any desired changes?

I would not like to see Ukraine get into a situation like Kazakhstan, Belarussia or Russia where for various reasons the ballot box does not change the people in power.
