The main result of Tymoshenko’s working visit to Japan is general consent of Japanese corporations to take an active part in modernization and reconstruction of our Ukrainian gas-pipe system. But now it has been found that our nimble Julia has managed to arrange this settlement with Japanese business only after her offer to sell Ukraine’s air pollution quotas within the framework of Kyoto’s Protocol to Japan!
After it Tokyo’s agreement to invest such risky project as our gas-pipe system’ reconstruction becomes rather understandable for me. But what about our native Ukraine’s prospects here? Well, I think you’ll agree with me that such Tymoshenko’s proposal as selling our own Kyoto’s quotas to Japan means one thing: further development of our Ukrainian industry is not planned at all by our present authorities!
And I shouldn’t be surprised if it is found out that Tymoshenko has promised other plums to shrewd Japanese during her recent visit to Tokyo. Otherwise it would be impossible to involve them in this adventurous project within the bounds of recent declaration, signed between Ukraine and EU in Brussels.
It looks as if our quirky Julia is ready to sell the whole country, piece by piece, in order to satisfy her political ambitions. I mean her future landslide victory, of course!

Does she think no one is looking at what she is doing? What will Putin have to say? What about the EU? Does she think Ukranian people are stupid? I guess if she can make enough money on all of this, she can just hop a plane and live in England with the rest of the oligarcs.
