local Hungarians have ventured too far lately
Any Ukrainian, who live in the Transcarpathia now, knows that local Hungarians have ventured too far lately. In the places of their compacted residence they have already snatched control of the whole local business. For example, chiefly people from Hungarian community are controlling activities of all local produce markets through corruptive contracts with local authorities. Moreover, now our Hungarians give eye-teeth for joining Hungary as soon as possible. In this case they have even found historical basis for it.
Only think of it! They have gone over such details of our previous history as allowing territorial claims of their native Hungary during its cooperation with Nazi Germany. Indeed, in 1938 the territory of Transcarpathia was separated from Czechoslovakia and in March, 1939 Hungarian troops invaded it and southern areas of Transcarpathia joined Hungary. But they have forgotten that a few days before it a new independent state, the Carpathian Ukraine, was proclaimed there. And after finishing WWII its territory was gone in USSR’s house. Then, after USSR’s collapse the Carpathian Ukraine has legitimately become a part of present Ukrainian Republic! So whichever you say and whichever Mr. Yuschenko promise you, your native Hungary has no historical rights for joining this territory. Let you die with this hope!
