Smile

I'd totally vote for Ron Paul with Stephen Colbert as VP. I wonder how i can make a Paul/Colbert '08 bumpersticker.

I don't think the republican party would like that, they would be a laughing stock. But i like the colbert report.

If the election was based solely on the internet then i think Paul and Colbert could stand a great chance at winning. Look how many votes Stephen Colbert got for the bridge in Belgium i think it was? Ron Paul has a huge internet fanbase as well. Unfortunately people often vote on the net because there's no repercussions with high anonymity.

Outback,

Funny you mention that. My professor just spoke about that in class.

Anyway, I don't think anonymity is the issue here. I just think it's lazyness. It's easy to type away on your keyboard, but not many want go out and actually vote. Which also makes me wonder, why can't votes be casted online? It is the 21st century.

Because unfotunantly the internet is not a secure function. Meaning there are hackers who could easily trick or double and triple the amount of votes of who they want to win. that is why. They had a problem with it not too long ago, i cant remember the event. though votes are casted electronically.
