Will Obama be the President and why?

This question is addressed first of all to our respected American friends.

USA is big country and it influences the entire World. Ukraine is not exception, for example, US dollar is our second official currency, and hrivna course is tied to dollar, not to euro or pound.

That’s why all global changes in America influence us directly – and now it’s time of changes.

We were watching the short excerpts from primaries, what a breathtaking show! The trend is obvious: Republicans lose popularity, mostly because of military campaigns conducted by present administration. This gives priority to Democrats though the struggle inside the house is even more critical.

Among two candidates, Hilary Clinton and Barack Obama, last ones takes bigger share and it just enlarges.

It seems Hilary Clinton is more acceptable and usual kind of American politician: she is white, educated, aristocratic, known and popular for many years. It seems everyone knows what to expect from her. On the other hand, Obama is “dark horse”: no one knows who he is except “he was against the war from the beginning”.

However, the primary votes show growth of his popularity and even large superiority.

Why do Americans give him obvious preference him and what have we expect if he will be elected as next President?

I will discuss my views on all 3 candidates. (BTW, thanks for this thread, i was meaning to start one).

McCain, wants war and is proud of it. NO

Now I will be honest, i did not care about Obama and Clinton. They did not make a difference to me since they mainly believe the same thing.

However now, Obama can go and eat dirt.

If Obama becomes president, America will be hell for every white person. From the news discovered with his pastor, "Black people should have their own country." If he becomes president thats like saying that his pastor was right. That we believe what he believes in.

A man like that is NOT suitable to become president. How can he represent a country after what runs in his head.

As far as Hillary, I have no problems with her. Also, she is a fan of Ukraine.

Yes, Clintons are popular people in many corners of the World till now. Bill Clinton left good memory and good legacy - the bunch of friends, including Russia and China where he was a kind of associative director.

Hilary is very sharming lady, and he has very sharp tongue. I hope this will help here to win and save the nation.

I saw just short spots from primaries, our TV channels didn't show much. However, I found many said by Obama really low when it is addressed to lady. I think he just uses shortcut "bitten afroamerican guy" but somehow it pays for itself.

If I understand right, he runs faster. So do Americans really want America to be hell for whites? If not, why do people support him?

Aren't these consequences of mexican and latina flow so white population has been reduced?

Max, you put this best. I want people to understand that it will be hell for whites (and NO, I am not racist). Facts people.

He is a wise man. Very good at speeches. Look, he's got most of America confused.

Ask yourselves, if Clintons pastor was to make remarks like those, where whould her poll numbers be? Don't be afraid guys. Do you remember Don Imus, Duene "Dog" Chapman".

It was funny what I hearn on TV today. Bill fixed the country after Bush 1 screwed it up and Hillary will fix it after Bush 2. Its funny, but not fully true.

Hillary Clinton is a liar, and her campaign has painted Obama as a racist.

Obama is not "black". He was raised by a white mother, and had very little contact with his Kenyan father throughout his life. He really straddles both worlds. Most of his advisors, incidentally, are white.

I have heard everything Jeremiah Wright said in his sermons, rather than taking snippets out of context from Fox. In context, nothing he says is particularly outrageous, or racist.

Policy wise, there is little difference between Clinton and Obama. Clinton's healthcare plan is a little different, but she tried to pass the same plan in 1992 and failed abysmally, so why would it pass now? Moreover, Clinton is reviled by half the American population. The presidential candidate will also carry the ball for those seeking congressional and senatorial re-election. It is far more likely that committed Republicans will come to the polls if Clinton is the Democratic nominee, thereby increasing the chance of a GOP dominated House and Senate.

Kathy, Great post. now watch this.

Obama is not racist, half white half black

Obama is not racist, his father left him

Obama is not racist, he has a book titled dreams of my father

Obama is not racist, he was raised by whites

Obama is not racist, he disrespected his grandmother nationally

Obama is not racist, he just listens to a preist talk about white hate

Obama is not racist, he is fair and just and wants to join both sides

Do you get what I'm saying here?

He is the most disrespectful person ever.

And putting that aside, lets talk about Wright.

I don't care what you know about him. I don't care what else he says. As a matter of fact I watch a long vid which included all the sniplets, but all other things.

Let me take you back to Don Imus, He said 3 words. 3 WORDS.

Yea, but Barack knows what its like to be a black person, Hillary will never know that because Hillary has never been called a N*gga. Right, umm, what verse is that in the bible?

And who is Jeremiah Wright? As I understand he is not a fan of Barack?

Good point, Stepan, even a bit cruel... "he knows what its like to be a black person"... I'm afraid it everything will turn into racial requital if the white America will allow to lull its vigilance... no, of course, it's possible to conduct the brave social experiment but are you ready to see the results?

I have such vision... Clintons and Bushes are two American aristocratic families who rule the country too long. They are expected people. It's understandable what is Bush USA and what is Clinton USA. Hilary will get her clan to power and the paradise will be repeated.

But I guess so many peope, mostly coloured newcomers want bigger changes... much bigger changes. They want completely new America, and Obama is the instrument to move those thousand pound heavy protective stones.
