Kathy,
What you talked about in your post which included my quote only talked about Obama and once sentence about Wright which said nothing about aids, or anything else you choose to include in there. I do have that book. My mom got exited about Obama and bought it. She gave up on reading it and the last thing I will do is read it. I dont need to read a book about him to find out what i need to know. Everyone knows that Obama is good at speeches, so what he says is almost worthless to me. And you completely looked over the fact that HE DISRESPECTED HIS GRANDMOTHER NATIONALLY. |

He didn't disrespect his Grandmother. The story that was the impetus of that point in his speech was in his book. It was presented in the context of how Senator Obama felt about this. His grandparents even had an argument about this incident, and an older African American man Senator Obama knew said his Grandmother should be scared.
Your post was basically a diatribe on Senator Obama's alleged racism. There is nothing you can point to, objectively, which would indicate he is racist. |

Kathy,
Stop twisting my words. First off I see you just forgot about Wright since you saw i was right :-) Secondly. I said "Obama is not rasist" as part of a playalong for my little poem, okay? And Should she be scared, in most cases yes (honestly, we all can admit it). BUT HE DID DISRESPECT HIS GRANDMOTHER. You did not comment on that. By saying "Typical white person" he is talking for white people, and just as Wright said that Hillary has never been called a Nigga, we can say the same about Obama. He has never been white. I would also like to say that if any white person who has something going for him or herself said "typical black person" nomatter who it was directed to, Rev. Al Sharpton whould be all over it and whatever he/she had going for themselves, would turn to nothing. |

This thread is a great, people present themselves here in a way that shows their true nature.
Kathy - always best at a debate, knowledgeable, calm, simply good. Stepan - jump up and down kind of guy, eager to have his voice heard, opinionated without reason but full of passion (even if misdirected). Max - can make a half decent post but will ruin it at some point. Knows little posts much, a great guy to have around to fuel the "fire". |
