There are indeed news hosts who are balanced. You would be hard pressed to guess Tim Russert's political leanings. Chris Matthews is criticized for being GOP biased, yet he worked for Tip O'Neill.
If you read criticism from both sides, as one often can, this is an indication of balance. Now, your links. They did not contain facts. They contained spin. Spin which Beck is trying to "sell". And you bought it hook, line and sinker. My posts demonstrate who Beck is. A right wing shill. I mean really, comparing HRC and Gore to Hitler, or cheering some guy who blew an ear out during torture is not exactly the type of political commentary one can take seriously. As I've posted in the past, you would do better to read balance by reading a few sources from different sides - the American Conservative is a good magazine, as is the libertarian site "antiwar.com", and some left leaning sites, such as salon, partisans on both sides in the NYT, and watch Meet the Press and Anderson Cooper. From there, you'll get a variety of perspectives. Part of the problem with the US today is too many people rely on sound bites, such as those you linked, for hard news. |

I usually watch CNN for election news. I hardly ever see AC.
I watch MSNBC mainly for Glen. I dont like Nancy Grace because I think she is an idiot. Fox, I usually watch O'reilly, Hannaty and Colmes. (I probably spelled half of their names wrong). So I don't just really on "hard news". I need to like the persons style and their air time. As far as Beck. again. I never heard any of the things you mentioned and as long as he doesnt bring it on air. W/E. I know he is a gun owner and I think he justified about it. I know he is a recovering alcoholic. Recently, one thing i did not like was him eating a hamburger and smoking a cigarette on TV. |

He has a good political team on now (and will until the election), which is balancec. I watch MSNBC mainly for Glen. I dont like Nancy Grace because I think she is an idiot. Beck is on CNN's Headline News station, and now has a gig on ABC. Nancy Grace isn't political commentary. Her show is about crime headlines. She is smart, but not balanced. Fox, I usually watch O'reilly, Hannaty and Colmes. (I probably spelled half of their names wrong). That explains a lot. If you ever watch Colbert, it is a parody of O'Reilly. Hannity is a proven racist. As far as Beck. again. I never heard any of the things you mentioned and as long as he doesnt bring it on air. W/E. Everything I posted was stated on air. I know he is a gun owner and I think he justified about it. I'm not talking about gun ownership. |

I watched Colbert, but he is not that funny. I really like him for his patriotism though. For comedy i turn to Jay Leno and Conan O'brien.
Everything I posted was stated on air. Well, I never heard it, wish i did. I just wanted to mention the thing about his gun ownership because some people think that people are crazy to carry around a gun. |
