I don't think anyone really thinks that only Obama will bring the troops home, seriously they do have to leave sometime and whoever is in power will be the person/party to do it. Why would Hillary or McCain doa better job or pulling troops out? McCain is in the party that sent them in and if I am correct he supports them being there.

What is it about Obama's ethnic heritage that you have a problem with especially when your own leaders, remember the 2 party system, have allowed him to get so far.

He is old friend of Ukraine, he supported Yushchenko and Oranges much, he defended the Ukraine from Russia, he is very friendly to us... this guy's presidency suits the best the current needs of Ukrainians.

2) Kathy, I don't remember everything, but I believe you said that V-G was only doing what he does to attract more visitors. I don't recall personality. About Black Liberation Theology, I am interested in the topic but it will take me a while to fully understand it so I am waiting to get some time. Maybe this weekend.

3) Max, I'm fully with you on the Obama "change" slogan. Not knowing what his change is.

4) About the war. I think it should end, but the reality is that I cannot end now. USA was not responsible enough to train the Iraqi army in time and now they have to start so many years later. If we pull out now, there "will" be serious war.

5) About race. In my opinion and i believe it is a known fact. Every person has a little bit of rasicm in them. I think its natural. You can have your best friend who is that race, but as a general, you might have problems with the race. I personally hate gettoness. Many others have a problem with this aswell. Majority of getto people are black or hispanic and for those that do not know anyone else that can lead them otherwise, those are the only views they will have.

Just recently I had an appointment with my college advisor and we got into the election. She said that the media is not being fair about Obama. And "they" (white people) don't really want him there because after all it is called the "white house". Yea, i know it sounds stupid, but its true. She knew I was white (i told her I was from Ukraine) and she clearly had no problem with me, it is just assumed to be general. Well, thats just how i feel. I might be wrong.

Not everyone has racism in them, I respect everyone, I might not agree with them but I still respect them.

Ghettos are a problem, not of race but of "otherness". People who don't fit into power groups live in Ghettos. South Africa's Ghettos were because the White power forced native Africans to live in substandard condition because they were seen as inferior. America's ghettos are a similar thing, these are people who do not have the where_with_all to lift themselves out of their condition and that is simply because they are seen as "others" and are not welcome into the power groups scene. The mere fact people are saying Obama is not worthy of being President because he is not old good "white protestant society" is an indication that "others" are not welcome in some areas of American society.

Do you really think Obama will change American system so fundamentally? His change will end up the day he will become the president.

Do Americans think he will reform the 2 party system and constructs a kind of European multi-party pluralism?

Do Americans think he will implement free education, free medicine and state pensions?

Do Americans think he will be perceived very well in Europe which tends to right-wing political ideas?

This is just collection of illusions which will dissolve very fast.

For example, is he really about to change the 2 party system? LOL. He is also a part of current system, he is member of Democratic Party which is interested in keeping the situation with 2 parties.

He will not go too far at least not farer then all democrats go.
