This is what I want to ask Americans. Why do you think ONLY Obama will take the troops out the Iraq and will rebuild the manage?

This could be made by Hillary and McCain as well... and even better.

If so there is not sense to risk.

I don't believe its a good idea to pull troops out of Iraq, we started this mess and now we have to clean if up. I think McCain is better, but have found Obama to have valid points and point out many wrongs in McCain's and Hillary's propositions such as the lifting of the gas tax. I do believe the gas tax was stupid to be placed in the first place but lifting it is even dumber. Obama will probably want to raise taxes.

Donald Rumsfeld and Vice president Cheney convinced Bush to invade Iraq, this is essentially their war. They tried tieing Al queda and Iraq together. The Iraqi national congress fed the pentagon false information and they tied them together.

Bush is like an observer and takes orders from his cabinet.

Al queda hated Saddam and Osama Bin Laden actually wanted to help Saudi Arabia with his fighters defend saudi Arabia instead of the U.S. in 1991.

Lemko, why not move the troops out? Sure US started the mess but the was there has been going on for 6 years! WWII didn't take that long to finish and US should continue pumping money into there? I would disagree. I think that spending over $800Billion since 2001 on war activities should be enough even for the "superpower" such as the USA.

Economically speaking yes, we probably should and probably will.

One big issue is, will Iraq become the next host for terrorist training?

After the Soviet Union left Afghanistan, factions started fighting each other until one emerged stronger and created a safe haven for terrorists.

Just an observation, it might not happen to Iraq.

The average Russian military budget during the decade they were engaged in Afghanistan amounted to about US $250 billion annually, or about US $655 billion in today's dollars.

Lemko, I agree that leaving just by taking off and leaving wouldn't be prudent. But leaving should be priority number one. The cost of war is too much and look at the USD exchange rate against major currencies. Look at the housing market in the states, look at Education problems (this reminds me of Bush not willing to help war vets get higher education, wow... just wow). While Bush is pissing money away on war the country isn't doing so well, is it?
So, I see your arguments and unfortunately they are valid, one has to be very careful with those issues. But if you didn't get it right in 6 years what makes you think that you'll do it well after 10?

I have a friend that was in a motorized rifle division in Afghanistan and have a friend over in Iraq. They both have said a war that has no end in sight. Though the surge is working for now, but don't know how much longer.
