So, you would rather counter an offer with Russia?

You would go up to Russia and say if you don't give me this, this, and that we will join NATO?

I don't mean you literally, i mean Ukraine

doesn't have to be in 1 way demands, but i believe an amicable solution could be made for the best interests of both nations

it doesn't have to be a zero sum game. (wherein Russia would be pointing nukes at us; NATO wouldn't care about us anyway, and we would feel further pressure from the Russians economically, while they obviously don't benefit from us joining NATO either)

Thats your opinion and I respect that.

I think Ukraine should be less dependent on Russia, is because they can shut off the gas to Ukraine but also Europe as well. I can't wait until the odessa-brody line is in place so we can be less dependent on Russia.

That is also why I think EU and Nato would be good for Ukraine. I know you believe Nato is run by the U.S. but it really isn't. When the U.S. asked for help from Nato not to many countries contributed.

It literally is run by the U.S., the most senior commander is always an American, by rule (since they have the most nukes)

Asking for help is one thing, but invoking Article 5 is another (where those countries HAVE to contribute)
