Actually China is buying more resources from Australia than they are from anyone else. That's one reason Australia has been able to ride through the global economic problems that are griping other parts of the world and why until just recently Australians have been spending more per capita, in relative terms, than any other nation on earth bar the middle eastern states. Its only now our reserve bank has slugged us hard withiInterest rate rises that we are slowing our spending.

As for Ukraine and NATO I support whatever the majority of Ukrainians want, even though Ukraine is nowhere near the North Atlantic I think if they feel they can and will benefit from joining NATO then good luck to them.

China gets oil from Ethiopia in the ogaden region, China gets oil from Sudan in the central part of the country and China has built roads in Tanzania to extract mineral resources as well as others and has set up telecommunications in other countries to extract resources.

I know, I'm just saying as a whole(Africa) resourses is being extracted by China.

Now of course you can't really narrow it down like that, because there are many corporations from different nations that extract natural resourses from Africa.

Guys, I have very exciting news. Today we have in Ukraine the global "Summit of Energy Safety" organized by Yushchenko. The participation is outstanding: Ukraine, Poland, Baltic states, Georgia... Azrbaijan and Kazakhstan (last ones are the biggest energy donors).

The athmosphere was very lightful and friendly. The sides discussed the Russian pressure, interests of Europe, interests of Ukraine and Georgia and of course, interests of respected Middle Asian republics.

The results are following: Europe is ready support the transition of gas and oil from Asia through the Ukraine and Georgia, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan are ready to give the gas and oil to Europe.

Russia is taken away from this business I (cheers to Nikolay and other hirelings!).

The agreements are signed, the new concession will be organized on basis of Ukrainian "Odessa-Brody" pipelines.

This agreement benefits all sides - Eastern republics will gain new markets and better prices, Ukraine will get cheap gas and oil and new money from transition, Europe will get the new massive energy from Asia.

The new gorizons are breathtaking!

great news. but how will the pipeline work? Will it go through the ocean?

Now they should make a defense pact.
