Smile to Gutsulka

Yes, I'm a visual artist. My web page has an entire section on Ukraine. I also have a surrealist style that I plan to exhibit in Ukraine this December.

V-G,

well, It IS the great place
Yes, I'm a part of it, and I'm also extremely proud of being that part.

I guess it's impossible to fully explain why it's like this.
WE have special traditions and rituals that come from the past, since UKMA is almost 400 years old (it was founded in 1615). It's also about the atmosphere .....Come and feel it
WE are small - about 3,ooo, so you can easily recognise "mohylyancya" v metro or elsewhere in Kyiv
It's just such a tight community where everybody respect each other.
Oh, ...!! How could I forget??? We are the only uni in Ukraine with Liberal Arts system of education.

And...you know what UKMA is???? It's FREEDOM. Probably the best word to describe it.

Gutsulka,

back to the UKMA subject . When I applied for UKMA I already knew that I was accepted with a full academic scholarship for the United World College of the Atlantic (for more info check my website). I knew that the sort of education waiting for me was far beyond UKMA level, yet, since so many people were extremely happy and proud of being part of UKMA, I thought I would still give it a shot. I went to the admissions office and asked them if I would have any privileges after I graduate with International Baccalaureate Diploma, you know what I was told??? It's ridiculous, the guy there told me that had I graduated from Harvard they would consider it, but other than that nothing is good enough. I was laughing at this school ever after; I did learn its history though. Anyhow, with IB diploma I was accepted to the best comprehensive school in Canada - Simon Fraser University (on academic scholarship), I also got offers from France, but I chose Canada. Anyhow, I see that the pride you guys have for your school is a little overestimating the real situation. Admissions does not have specialists (and before the exams I was offered answers for $2000 US, outside the UKMA LOL... ).

Or maybe its just my personal negative experience that made me dislike UKMA... ahh... I am still working on my true opinion... maybe there is something else you can add to the GOOD part of UKMA? (There is no law school )

Thanks (and please don't get offended with my writings about your school ).

Yura,

I've looked at your website, since you are in ART, you should check out design prinsiples for the websites. The allignment is not done well, visitors eyes wonder around and don't stop on the important things. Other than that, very goo dwork, if you have done it all by yourself
