USA dollar verses Ukraines

Hello: i would like to know the buying power of the USA dollar in Ukraine. If one American dollar equals 5 Ukraine Grivnas, how is it that a person making 87 Grivnas a month which equals, "18 USA dollars" manage to live on such a small income? I make around $900.00 US weekly. Does this mean that the money I earn would be worth four thousand five hundred dollars in the Ukraine? Whats the buying power of the US dollar there?

Yeah, you're right about that, dollar here doesn't mean dollar there. One dollar is worth much more in Ukraine, than in USA. It's just different prices on everything.

If the USA dollar buys a coke in the USA, How many cokes will it buy in the Ukraine. What is the buying power?
