Traveling to the city of Artyomovsk....
Hi all, I know I should be posting this to the travel discussion but this is the more active group and ultimately more appropriate.
I'm looking to travel to the Ukraine later this year or early next year to meet a woman that I meet here in the US. Do the airports in Kiev and Donetsk have international symbols for how to get around? Are the airport personnel multi-lingual? Is English listed with the Ukrainian? Ultimately my destination will be the city of Artyomovsk. I just don't want to find myself in Kiev wondering about looking for my next plane to Donetsk. I'll probably ask her to meet me in Donetsk unless it's easy to get to Artyomovsk from there. Thank you for your help!

Everything will be a lot easier, safer and cheaper if she comes to meet you at the airport where you enter Ukraine. If you can fly straight to Donetsk, get her to meet you there. If not, it may be best for her to meet you in Kiev.
Many people choose to take an overnight train from Kiev rather than an internal flight. The international airport in Kiev is Borispol - there will be English speaking staff here. The other airport at Kiev handles internal flights (Juliany) and there might not be English speakers around to help you. |

We flew from Kiev Borispol to Donetsk so there really shouldn`t be a problem with language.. but if she can meet you in Kiev it would be good to spend some time there as it is a lovely city....
