Wink

I'm Krissy and I'm an 18 yr old college student at the University of Illinois @ Urbana-Champaign.
I'm 50% Ukrainian; my father and my grandparents came from the Ukraine in 1950 and settled in the Chicago area. I have many family members remaining in the Ukraine.
I'm very interested in developing friendships with anyone Ukrainian and learning more about the culture, history and language.
Even if you don't live in the Chicago area feel free to email me at Wanker66@AOL.com
I would love to talk to you!

I'm glad you replied!
I'm not quite sure where exactly my family is but I can find out this weekend-I'm at college right now and I'll be going home on friday. I'll be sure to tell you as soon as I find out.

Smile HI

Can you read or speak Ukrainian? There are many great websites on the Internet in Ukrainian and Russian.
I have emigrated from Odessa in 1989

Unfortunately, I cannot speak or read Ukrainian. I was looking forward to learning it in college, but they aren't going to be offering it for quite some time. But I am definately interested in learning.
What is Ukraine like? Is the lifestyle completely different?

It is very difficult to tell you what Ukraine is like... but there are many books and websites about Ukraine (in English) available. Also, to really understand Ukraine as a nation, it would be advisable to read a bit of her history.
