Benda, think again. The fight is always between the self righteous single minded, and those that see it differently. Often shown in the impotence and frustration of those whose failures are self evident. Noise clouds nothing except the minds of the noisy. As for Rick and CJ, we have previously discussed blind patriotism, and its flawed ideals, but give them their due. They are obvious patriots, and there is something to be said for that, and that something is unlikely to be "they are correct".

Mr. Peotry

Howdy,

I'm sure you should have been a peot Lenny but that won't make you much money right?
Nicky thinks we should read second grade material to learn about the 20th century but that's just my point. The last century was the last and now we are in a new one.
Europe will not and cannot fight for freedom because they assume it will always be there for them. What if the trend continues and freedom is lost in Europe? What would this mean?
It would mean that we would not get the oil from Europe. (WHAT OIL?) We would not get the resources that the world needs. (WHAT RESORCES?)
It means the people won't fight for freedom in Western Europe and thus they will lose the freedom but the world will continue as ever because Western Europe has no resources that would effect the world. Sorta like selling a piece of the Disney empire is how I look at Europe and it's importance to the world.
Whenever the goal has been met to make a people impotent as Western Europe is then there will only be a mildly bloody takeover. Europe has been brainwashed for 20 years now and it looks as if it wants a whole new set of rules for war kinda like the French work week..lol As long as they believe nothing will happen to them it's clear that everything will happen to them.

It was an american that coined the phrase " I am the greatest". I wonder if he realized how timeless and relevant that would be. Even the emu has a protection of sorts, but only he believes it. Should I discourage him, I think not; not a native american, nonetheless, an amirable trait adopted by many.
Dream on believer, least we annoint the afflicted.

It is a question of ideology, not of a particular case, as for me. And as far I can see Americans and Europeans generally have different ideologies.

Benda,

Be careful that you are not drawn into over simplification by others. To believe that a spaniard/german, frenchman/dane, swiss/enghlishman, dutchman/italian, share an ideology, only happens in the mind of a texan. Those of us that have a little knowledge of europeans, know better.

Exactly - we as Europeans know some things Americans can't know. That makes us similar - just a little but American can notice it.
