Message to the Ukrainians

One of the most wonderful things, if not the most wonderful, about this forum is that it brings together many people from different parts of the world. Each educated in thjeir own environment and each with a differing view of the same events. Fortunately many have also put aside blind patriotism and learned more and more about the events we discuss here.
It is in that effort to learn more from each other, and to approach things from a slightly different angle, that we join here in discussion.
I am totally confused why you have dicided to come here yet have the determined mind set not to listen and learn.
I have looked and read your posts on the history board and they appear as equally misguided as your posts here to me. But, in both cases you appear not to be thinking past what you originally were taught. Why are you talking to us if you dont want to learn, and just want to insist that your view is the only "truthful" one.
You have said in another posting here that your main interests are history and geography. Why are you so determined to rant about your views rather than try to learn about other views and cultures. Why do you believe that the patriotic crap you were taught is any more correct than the patriotic crap the rest of us were taught in school.
You have got to understand that the sources of your history knowledge is considerably restricted when it comes to the accounts rendered by other nations involved. And please dont rant on about how free you are now, its not been that long and even a dumb person like me knows of the changes that have taken place in your home country.

You keep telling us what the British view is, and what americans think. Just how much time have you spent in Britian and America ? Now answer that question honestly and show us just how learned and informed you are. Or are you just ranting from the limited things you have read. Of course I do understand that what you have read could not in any way be considered biased one way or the other.

Hi,

Seems to me that Benda has topicized and turned his focus on you Lenire in a way that seemed to be pre-destined.
It is a case of starting an argument against Russians but the real object is to attack you as an Englisman.
So far he has moved his tac carefully and with almost a genius precision. His next move with come closer to home rather than around your keel.
I gotta say this guy taps a fine web and does it in a manner that advocates pure genius.

You don't understand me. I really agree with the fact war was won with all of the allies. Britain heroically defended against Germans in 1940 (and if you don't know what geography is I'll tell you - it's the thing which allows to know Britain is situated on an island), Americans destroyed naval forces of Japan (which was little better than Germany). I just wanted to say that the part of USSR in victory was the largest and that West doesn't have a moral right (though it's very hard to talk with British or American people about morality) to blame USSR. I'm pro-Ukrainian. I'm sure Ukraine mustn't join Russian Economical Area and that it has to join EU but it's not ready yet (I don't know when Ukraine will be ready). But you can't understand that this war was the most heroic and glorious pages in the history of USSR - maybe the only one, maybe not. So I defend it how I can defend. You're telling me I'm not listening to and learning from this forum. That's because I can already suppose what you'll say to me. I knew what British/Americans think about USSR before I joined your forum. And what do you want from me? You want me say USSR was an aggressor, not a victim?
But I know why you're defending Balts. That's because they're in EU. And of course for British any argument between an EU-nation and non-EU-nation is for EU-nation because if they joined EU they're more democratic and if they're more democratic they can't be wrong. That's it.

Firstly, I have not defended the Balts, I merely told you that I went there and "ASKED THEM" what they thought. I then told you that they saw it differently than how the the russians saw it. I did not give my opinion at all.
Secondly. You obviously have absolutely no idea what the British think about the EU and its members.
