I have been reading your bulletin boards for the past few weeks and enjoy the lively exchanges that take place, especially in the political topics. Your members appear to be willing to express themselves without too much reservation so It occurred to me to ask you for your opinions on how two Universities, one in the U.S.A. and the other in Ukraine could best cooperate in exchanges between the Political Science College in the U.S. and the equivalent college in Ukraine.

Groups in both coutries are trying to develop a program that would allow students to exchange information, gain better understanding (and respect) for the other country, its people and its institutions.

One suggestion that we are considering is to have both Universities study the constitutions of both countries to identify the similarities and the differences, then exchange thoughts and information as to how these differences affect each country politically, economically and socially.

I would appreciate any ideas you would care to suggest.

Keep up the good work on the bulletin board.

BJC

Hello Greystone, welcome to Ukraine.com.

The best way to get information on our site is via our members. However, very few come to this forum (Feedback). So, I have moved your thread to a location where your chances of reply are much greater.

Please members, share your suggestions with this new member and make him/her feel welcome.

All the best,

Well, I'm not an expert on this, but may be you should contact a couple of Ukrainian Universities.
For,ex:
http://www.univ.kiev.ua

Also, Kiev Mohila Academy might be even a better choise. As far as I know, they seem to be more focused on Political Science. But, I just can't find their adress! May be someone else will.

Thumbs up

Why have a Constitution at-all ???
We British don't.

I don't want the "right" to live in a country infested with fire-arms or where criminals can sit in Court, smile smugly and "take the 5th".

A decent Lawyer can twist the words of the US Constitution to make almost anything appear "constitutional".

Thank you all for your suggestions, but let's try to keep on topic here. Greystone does not want your opinion of the Constituition, or US law, but methods of how to best study topics such as these.

Thank you.

Administrator,

You must be spanked, and quite hard. The cause of such action? Your total failure to recognize that the Constitution of the United States and its Body of Civil and Criminal Law are but mere opinions which are subject to change, and with which not everyone is in agreement.

You really must show the proper penitence for such an ugly boo-boo.
