Before he left, Mr. Ungaro asked me if I would post occasional messages from him here. I am pleased to do so. Here is the first of them:

Greetings Foggy,
I hope that everything is cool around your neck of the woods. We arrived in Europe in good shape. We have been in the Bechtesgaden area for about a week. Konigsee is
beautiful. Going to Lake Balaton on the 5th. The trip to Ukraine is in doubt because illness to one of the children of the person who is burried there. I have sent card and will send some more. Please give my warm greetings to everyone.
Bill

....And my greetings also to the good ol' travelling boy - may his time in Europe be rewarding and may he find/trace his family as he desires.

I am also travelling from tomorrow - to Ukraine for a kids summer camp in Chernivtsi until 16th August. May I leave my best wishes with you Foggy, to Bill (please pass on if there's a chance) and to all the other respected friends and members of this board.
I will be truly "out-of-touch", with no communication by land, cable, or even mobile phone, so it's 'back to the forests' with a vengence !!

ANDREW.
