Talking

As I joined this blessed circle of the select ones, who think and care about Ukraine so much that they do not even live there but talk about Ukraine and to (other )Ukrainians on the regular basis, I started wonedring actually, how come there are so many geeks just like me, who like to waste their precious down time clicking the keyboard and shouting their opinions about this and that out loud on the message board. Well, Okay, I have always been weird like that, but what are you people doing here ? What makes you open this site, read all this stuff and even bother to post your replies ? Well, my circumstances are such that I can not go out and talk to people which has always been a very important part of my life and even growing up. So I surf the net for fun pretty often, and sure, if I can communicate with people SOMEHOW I use this opportunity. But, what about you ?

Cool

Greetings,

It is true that I spent almost all of my free-time in internet, but it's because it's summer. Although I don't have that much free time now either, I just post here very quickly and read all the "active" topics that interest me, and I must admit that you're topics are wonderful

But why do I spent my free time in internet? Because more then half of my friends are located in internet, and while I'm communicating with them through various number of programs, I always got my browser opened on Ukraine.com since this site is very close to me, it's been almost a year since I joined it.

Good luck,
Stas

Hi olesya,
Well it certainly better than working...
I use email because it's a cheaper way of keeping in touch with my friends and family than the phone.
I don't live in Ukraine all the time anymore and I'm only there for probably 8 weeks a year. This is one of the good ways of keeping the feeling alive.
Take care
Vlas.

Well, I do it only at work when I am really bored. Otherwise I just do not have enough time. Sometimes I don't even have enough time to sleep. Oh well...

Well, any way of communicating with someone is great for me. I just love meeting new and interesting people. I like sharing my opinions with people who don't really know who I am. It is a fun way of expressing yourself without being forced to be physical for some people. It is a chance for me here on Ukraine.com to talk to people that I have things in common with and since I don't have my most of my Ukrainian family members around anymore, most of them passed away and others live a far enough distance, that is nice to be able to hop on here and talk to you guys. It makes me feel closer to home.

Talking

I spend much of my time using Internet, for different purposes...I very often use it for my studies, which is quite obvious these days. But recently I've been using it more and more for communication. "Talking" live to my friends in different parts of the world but also meeting new people. Can you beleive that thanks to the net I met "live" some people who became later best friends of mine...But there is also the "bad" side of these...I spend too much time in front of the computer, go out less often and don't meet my friends (the ones not from the net) as often as I used to..The phone rings less often as talking on the net seems to be cheaper...I've been trining to change it recently and it seems to work...But there are a few sites on the net which I always visit and will never stop. Ukraine.com is one of them...Why? Gee, I have no idea I just like reading your posts people and sometimes add something usually quite stupid from myself...
greetings,
Beata
