On this point I havea question for all of you,

Slavs?

Or is it Slovacks?

Or Slovs?

Is it Slovackia/slovenia??

you know.

I think that the similarity is the languages is what make Slovs, Slovs. Maybe a physical look too, maybe geography and then perhaps a geniology.

I am pretty curious about this one?

Dear Stas and dear person that doesn't believe Of course that Poles are Slavs. There were differen groups iof Slavs on the territory of Poland and actually the name of our country comes from one of them, which were Polanie. We're the same Slavs as Czech or Slovaks. If the non-believer still doesn't believe me, then please - ask questions or give arguments!

Phillip, no no no...
Slavs is the group of ethnic people who lived on the territory of Eastern and Central Europe in the first centuries after Christ. Well, maybe not the first, but from the 6th century I think. Thos were kind of tribes, which later constituted different countries.
Then, Slovacks are the citizens of Slovakia, a country borderin with Poland, Czech REpublic, Ukraine, Romania...Slovs (or Slovenians) on the other hand, are the citizens of Slovenia, one of the countries of the former Yugoslavia. Their languages are quite similar, as the languages of the Slavs and tribes living next to them were very similar. Ufff, is it more clear now curious man?
Greetings Stas and Phillip,
Beata

Slav's = Yugoslaiva area.
Slovs = that cool bit I like.

I think my ancestors came from that area because otherwise why would I like it so much?

I apologize. I was joking when I told Beata that Zubrovka was a gift to the Poles from the Slavs. But many Poles are so...you know...German. I still contend Zubrovka originated in Ukraine or Russia...
