Hi there,
I was thinking about how this board has good qualities and poor qualities as well as interesting topics followed by interesting people. The time that people spend on computers comes to mind and how it effects there perception of life in regards to the hours spent here versus the amount spent with there families. Not to be a judge or anything but I can imagine a womans home with dirty clothes and dishes piling up as she moves the mouse from here to there. Also men who neglect there real life duties so to speak as to get to know people better on the net in all it's great possibilities. The way people respond and keep up with the boards here seems to agree with me in that they spend way too much time here and take way too much of this place in a serious nature. Don't get me wrong here as your time is yours but in the end it seems there are other things in life to do like watch the sunset or read a book or even share a cup of coffee with a friend. Geepers man this board is just a place to laugh and learn to me and will never be my residence so to speak. In the end I will read things but not all things as it takes time I don't have. I will continue to post here though as the bottom line for me is to learn and understand about other peoples and there culture as well as there values. I wont join any group as to detain myself from the learning process just because of opinion of someone or something of that nature. What do you think would make this place better for all who want to learn? Besides what has already been said in regards to hurting words and finger pointing do you think this board has the ability to help people in ways that dont lend to joining a group so to speak? I'm afraid I wont join any group as to try to control anything here as I feel a part of a group already that seeks to learn. REX xx |

Mmmmm... I can imagine a womans home with dirty clothes and dishes piling up as she moves the mouse from here to there...
or even share a cup of coffee with a friend. Johnson, this is a key. I haven't here frinds, I haven't a possibility to speak drinking a cup of coffee. I drink bear, and absolutly alone. My husband is Basque, and sometime I want to speak with people who can understand me. And I see my husband only during weekends, all the week I'm absolutely alone. Question - why husband can't wash dishes and clothes to give the wife the possibility to speak here??? It isn't my job! We all use dishes and clothes! |

Grandma,
I wash my dishes too hehehe. Also I have custody of my six year old daughter and take responsibility for her in every way. In reference to my remarks as written above they were not intended at you but rather at what can happen to people who take too much time here and in effect this place becomes a sort of reality that is based on little more than an opinion or an imaginary reality. As far as beer goes YUM YUM but I do not drink as I have not had a real beer in a Very long time or alcohol for that matter. I do like the beer you get here that has no alcohol and coffee is great too. Hehehehe I use the dishwasher to wash my dishes as I am a man and in the end I am a sloppy homemaker to say the least. See you soon and take care fair lady. REX xx |

This begs the question REX,
What is this forum to you?? You have done all these things and more. You are doing it now. It seems to me you are here primarily to pick up... I think you should let sleeping dogs lie. |

Grandma, do you have any kids? and do you work? just curious.
If you're really feeling alone, just write me at Yulia.s@ukraine.com. We can discuss Ukrainian staff like news or politics, or narodoznavstvo. You know, this week I painted eggs(pysanky), with wax and kistka. |
