I need some answers please!!

After discovering this website my interest in knowing Ukraine and its people was growing and therefore i tried to contact some Ukrainian on ICQ..I am not stranger to this program and I have always been able to get at good conversation going..however after several tries I must admit that I couldnt start a chat...Most people either didnt answer my requests or I was met by suspicion and sometimes even rudeness..

What is the explanation for this???
