Zhenya is an unknown quantity at this point
It is known that different people have different interests. Some people like to lift weights, some like to read, some like to watch TV or just play computer games. Are there interests that are common to all Ukrainians or at least to most of them? For example I like to get together with my friends, drink some beer or vodka and have a good quiet talk. It is better if it happens outside of my house: somewhere on the river by the fire. Sometimes i'd like to read a book, or play soccer with my friends.
Tell me how you like to spend your free time, and also how you don't like to spend your time.
All opinions are important because they define us, ukrainians, as a unique nation.
I'm really looking forward to your replies.
Regards to anyone..........................

I like to sit quitely where no sound is and think about life - http://newua.virtualave.net/Life.html
Thats my web-site about life.
Of course I like nature as you said, the river and fire plus beer But I dont like vodka. I hate spending my time in a place where everything is very loud and you have to screem just to say something, I hate fast American music, and I like slow music. I love being in my native country - Ukraine. But... the fate I guess, turned my ife to a dark side.

Zhenya,
Thank you for finally starting a very important topic...
How do I like to spend my free time???
Hmmm...well, back in Ukraine i did not have much of a choice: it is either going to your friends to the hostel or just walking around the city...the worst case and the most popular is sitting in front of the TV, cause the night is too dark to go out and there is no light in the street.
But here!!!It is beach, it is a nice disco, meeting friends and going for barbeque in the evening, going for a long drive to a mountains area, walking around shopping malls, going to the restaurant, bar, going to the movie, some exhibitions (they never stop here)...!!!Wow, there are a lot of things to do here: but NO Time!!!
I have 2 days off, so half of the first one i spend sleeping and arranging the flat and the rest trying to do some of the above!
What I hate is when I do not know (or I did not plan anything beforehand) what to do and too lazy even to think of doing something, I end up going to the park or to the corniche in the evening and just walking around...
Regards....

Dear Marina and Stas.
I'm glad to know that you liked my topic. I also think that it is very important. What about music: I think it's nice to combine both fast and slow music.
To Stas: if you want to explain your feelings about vodka please go to my topic "Vodka or everything else" on the OPEN BOARD.
Regards.............................

Hello Zhenya,
I am probably a little older than you are, but by no means too old. I enjoy meeting new
people, doing new things and traveling to new
places. Lately, my memories of my youth and memories of my escapades along lifes highway, became more and more meaningful. I grew up about 100 kilometers from Ukraine in Hungary. Ah those long and cold winters nights. What a wonderful oppertunity to spend time with a friend or lover or to read a book or to listen to some great music. Of these subjects, I am willing to share my favorite music peaces with you. Jules Massenet composed a peace called MEDITATION,
Franz Lehar composed the VOLGA SONG and Beethoven composed the EMPEROR CONCERTO. This is great music to listen to while you are enjoying a long winter night in one of the ways described above. For additional effect you might try a glass or two of Hungarian Tokaja. Good Luck and Enjoy.
