Greetings,
To liven things up a little, I thought I pose a question. I am sure that you have noticed that at NOON in all European cities the Church Bells RING. They are so nice to listen to. Actually it is BEAUTIFUL. The question is why do they RING at NOON? I tell you that it is not to let people know that it is NOON. First to answer gets a medalion. 1)Was it to call the workers in from the fields for meal time break?
2)When Christ resurrected on the third day, it was noon? Good one Judge er B.Ungaro. Darling you always know how to liven up these boards. Still giggling about the pink drink story. I bet you have a pocket full of them, just bursting to get out. LillyNomad |

Okay, I'm probably way off base, but I think it was to establish the time in THAT town and place each day, because in the old days there weren't any standard time zones. Or it was to knock the rust out of the bell in a timely way.
