I just lit up a bowl of a toasted cavendish laced with vanilla and raisin. It's mild and has a nice aroma. I like to relax with my pipe, a cup of coffee and reference type reading material -- things ranging from medical journals to motorcycle owner manuals, although I don't own a motorcycle. Lately, I've been reading H.G. Wells "History of the World".
It struck me that we've shared poetry and our thoughts on politics; we've argued the superiority of vodka over Barak P and vice versa Even so, I don't recall discussion of the civilized vices, such as prefered cigarettes or favorite junk foods. Perhaps I missed those topics in the past. Anyway, How 'bout it. |

I quit smoking three years ago by using Nicorette gum. Guess what? It is more addictive than smoking. The nicotine levels are higher and it costs more than a carton of smokes per week. $37 for 105 pcs.
I am told that to get off the gum is more stressful and difficult than cocaine. Perhaps I should take up the pipe? I like to curl up on the couch and read about medieval history, ancient civilizations and mythology (greek, norse, roman etc.)Oh, and let us not forget - write. Regards, Lilly |

Lilly: A pipe, perhaps corncob, would look mighty fetching jutting out from between your back teeth. Because you don't inhale, merely puff, you may be able to make the transition much easier. It smells good too. As for your choice of reading: way cool.
Troll-girl: Stephen King surprised me a few times. Nothing he wrote so far was as surprising as Stand By Me. It was the best book-to-movie adaptation, as well. Have you read any Elmore Loenard? I think he's better at characters than King. For me, if you can't like the characters, you can't like the story. As for icecream: I absolutely love Moosetrack. When driving, there ain't nothin' better than a vanilla malt -- heavy on the malt, baby! |

Johnstruthers:
I'm still having laughing fits over your comments. I smoked camels for a while, while a student at the Art Academy. The bad thing about nonfiltered ciggys is that you can't stick them between the string and head of the guitar while your picking hot and heavy on some Classical Gas without the chance of burning your guitar to the ground. If your vodka is worth a damn, you should be able to drink it from a toilet bowl at the corner gas station without worry of having a pimple on your lip the next day. But, clean glasses are fine if you think you may need to collect your guests fingerprints tomorrow morning. Have a good time in the meantime. |

The real problem with filters is lighting the wrong end. Makes the room smell worse, and keeps burning when it falls in your lap. Be careful what you say about vodka in these here parts. Clean glasses discourage guests from drinking directly from the bottle.
