Who is excited about the New Years parties?

What are all the Ukies doing?

Say something - anything please - and help me to keep occupied in the few hours leading up to the big occassion.

Later - in the next millenium (your is at midday'ish for me), I'll do the same for you. That is, if I don't get lucky tonight - you know how it is.

best regards,

Phillip

It is exactly midnight of 12/30 here, so you are 16 hours ahead of us. Imagine that. You will have arrived in the new millenium before the rest of us. Ukraine is seven hours ahead, so they will see it next, then us. To the extent that I report to the office in precisely eight hours, I will keep in mind all the Y2K problems will have already affected your area, and we will have only a few hours in which to use your experience to solve ours...before we hit it,too.
By the way, on the other board, I must stress that my wound-and-bandage analogy was woolly thinking, a bad analogy, and it only means that Ukies are given to retracting, or covering, harsh words pretty quickly. I don't want you to think there is any sophistication to that statement. It isn't as though Ukies "practice" it or anything. They're just disposed to quick damage control in touchy social situations. As I say, they're really nice and kind in that regard. It's another variety of the "caring" aspect. You have seen it here on these discussion boards. People make up pretty quickly.

Hope you get a chance to visit Ukraine. Before you go, let us all know. You'll get lots of tips and help from everyone, I'm sure.
So, all the best in the new millenium, Phil, and I hope you get lucky tonight.
Regards,
John

what you call cutting and badaging (a bad abology) is just being reasonable. Put it to an artform and I will love you forever (figeratevly)

I think that's the key

John,
You are so right. This I have noticed sence I have been reading the forum. Everyone so far on this board have been very quick to apologize and or to forgive. Most of the ones I refer to seem to be Ukraine. Forgive me if I am wrong. But, this is a traite all to rare in the American people.
This is one of the many reasons I have learned to like Ukraine.
To all A Happy New Year, and may there be many more to come.
Love and Best Regards to all.

How do you know Poland has done nothing?!

And by the way, stop talking about all those Y2K. I'm really sick of it. I don't understand it at all. There's so much fuss over it. And just read the first book on computers and how they "think". The date 2000 does not exist for them!!!
I mean, I might be wrong so I better check it, but I think there's something in it...

Russia and Poland and Indonesia were reported here as countries who have done next to nothing about the bug.

We on the other hand spent more per capita then anywhere else.

Who got ripped off I don't know?

Alot of IP people got evey rich. It was a big load of...

I'd like to know more but nobody has experienced much trouble.

I wish we did nothing too....

We is just suckers
