hello

hi maggie dear,

"Once a Marine always a Marine".

If Benny had good sense he would understand discipline and honor among men but with his whimpering on the boards I see he needs direction from a real man.
Hope you are doing well these days Maggie and I have noticed the fight goes on in the religious section without abate.
You Maggie are an honorable person and one which I would enjoy to be in the presence of (with your husband present of course.) You stand for things close to your heart and that is a trait that we find lacking in many individuals today.

Your Friend,

Stardust

Oh my God My hubby is a Marine also!!! Well he was until 1998. But hey "once a Marine always a Marine !!! I was so happy, I told my hubby about it and he said Semper Fi He was an MSG in rabat and that's how we met Thank you so much for your compliment. It feels good to have a nice person to talk to from time to time. As you know, everyone else is on my back!! hahaha But hey, who cares!! Like you said, "You stand for things close to your heart and that is a trait that we find lacking in many individuals today." Hope everything is going well for you and your family. I wish you the best. After all we belong to the few, the proud the Marines

" If the army and the navy were to look on heaven's scenes, they will find the streets of heaven are garded by the United States Marines" (hope i got that one right)

Maggie dear,

The Marines are no more.

Dad was a Marine; a DI. Served 32 years. 2nd Marines. A whole lot of hard, personal, stuff for memories. Mostly of WWII and the islands. The Corps began changing big time in the 60s. It will never be as it was.

hello

hi,

Maggie thanks for the kind words and "always faithful"=Semper Fidelis.

Actually in some respects Nonson is correct to a degree. Todays Marines must be graduates of high school and its the only branch of the service with a waiting list. The training is tough but abuse is not as frequent than in the older days to recruits.
It's kind of hard to say whether the corps have changed in many ways but one thing rings true about a MARINE and that is he will fight to last breath for his brother MARINE more than anything else in the world. This should descibe the honor that still flourishes and has been passed on through generations.

Please tell your husband hello again and I suppose I will leave Ben alone because his moderation stewardship was in question long before I said anything.
