FEMALE or WOMAN is half the world,

She our mother,sister,wife,daughter,........,

Why we do ignore her in Ukraine, why we are helpless with girls in Ukraine?
I wonder how much Ukrainian girl around the world work as slave for sex!!!!!
When they are going to stop?when fathers and brothers and Ukrainian MEN help them to stop?
How much is shame when no MEN stand up to maintain them!!!

From where I can start and when I will put my full stop,

I know that a lot of people understand what I say clear,
hundreds of teens come from many Ukrainian villages escaping from poor life and looking for a good life, rich life, and no life with what they are thinking is starting of life, traders of sex take them out of Ukraine and hold their passports and force them to work as they want under traders rules in prostituation field,

Do we need to explaine more!!!!!!
What is real problem?and how to solve it?

Give yourself time to think for your family and your country how to save it from shame and AIDS,

That is so sad and so true at the same time!

As you said, a lot of them come from little villages looking for the better life. I'm sure most of them do not even know what are they getting themselves into...they go abroad based on advertizements of "agencies" that look for waitresses, maids, etc, etc...They are being fooled.
I think writing about it in the newspapers of small towns will rise the level of awareness about the risks the young girls take by going aborad and about sex-slavery!

I do not see any other good way of stopping it!

It is indeed sad, but one should ask himself what could I do to save these poor girls. I am sure that an article in local newspaper would help, however, I want to come back to the original reason of then doing so (going abroad), poverty . So if Human Development Index, or Human Suffering Index went up or down respectively, this problem should be eliminated. There are a lot of very rich people abroad who are Ukrainians, only those who were not able to move (and a few patriots) who stayed in the country. If we want to develop country, we need to stop brain drain. Our best students move to USA, Canada, UK everywhere, and there is hardly anyone left. I mean best are gone... well I do feel pity for the girls who are sex-slaves, but there are way greater issues we need to think about too. Lina your idea about an article is great, that must do at least something to those who are blind because of the community they live in, but people who have more power should think about the larges scale, problems I mentioned above.

Thank you again time Volodymr_gusak when you said

My oppinion...

Dear IMB , I see we found the common language! I am one of those who got a chance to go out of Ukraine, at that time I was very little concerned with the future of my country, but life abroad provoked deep thoughts like the one you put up here. I am going back to Ukraine in a few days time, but then I am planning to leave again. Talking about the brain drain, one might think that I am the case myself, but I can assure you that it is not true. I feel obligation to help Ukraine in general that means every Ukrainian in particular, the solution from my side I see is to get a grasp abroad and invest in Ukraine, that should do more that just stay and try to survive. I want to encourage every single Ukrainian who is abroad at the moment and is reasonably well of, to help people whom they know in Ukraine, sponsor some school there, even open new Universities that would not be corrupt, and poor students could get their way in higher education too! This is a direct path to Development.
As you, IMB mentioned, everyone should ask himself/herself what do I do at the moment to help my country? And if nothing, it is never late to start. [/quote]

To add on...

[b] When we think about the disaster Eastern Europe faced after the collups of Soviet Union, just think about Poland, I read in todays Economist, that Poland has reached the level of economic growth it had in 1989... Ukraine is far from that target, Ukrainians!, we do need to do something!

You have very good intentions V-G!

about the tread...
Yes, poverty is the cause, there are no questions about that! When I mentioned local newspapers I ment to spread information and "educate" some girls on possible dangers!
I do still belive that a large amount comes from "not knowing"! In large cities, people are more aware of that...but in little villages they are not. That's why we hear about girls from little villages looking for a better life. It doesn't matter which way you tell them about the dangers involved, through newspapers, magazine or a neighbour's story. It's important to get the message through!

If girls do it intentionally that's just very sad, but I do not think that in this case you can actually solve the problem...Yes, we can talk about bringing up Ukrainian economy, but it will take time, icluding the right goverment! We can't close the borders for women 20-26 years old!
